It was amazing how the lecture theatre was transformed on Tuesday into a gallery brimming with creativity of such a diverse range - sculpture, life drawing, printing, assemblage, fashion, graphics, photography. The event was a learning experience in selecting and presenting work to show it at it's best. Paintings were put up, taken down and shuffled around. Less is more was the mantra of the day. Everybody's work looked great and the private viewing was really enjoyable. The exhibition was a great showcase for the work of the BTEC Art & Design students and an example of the range and quality of the course work studied at Borders College. All this however would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the lecturers, Niall and Siobhan.I thank them for their support throughout the year. One last thought - wouldn't it be great to see the bare white corridors of the college used to display the students work as inspiration for the new students when they start next year?
Great show folks and really appreciate that you appreciate the juggling that goes on when putting an exhibition together of this nature...diverse work and diverse students!! Well done all and hope you all have a good holiday...yes we'll work on the corridors for sure
