Disability history at the Portrait Gallery

Horsing around

thought you would all like to see the little horses we made for "the herd" at the Eastgate in Peebles. I took some photos wen they were all being collected but was having some trouble with the camera so sorry for the delay, but see if you can see yours! :)

Everyone has ate a Chupa Chup lolly in their time right? Did you know the logo was designed by Salvador Dali in 1969?

Wear it pink collage

This is the collage that most of us second years put together today, it's been donated to the raffle that's being held on Thursday 25th for breast cancer awareness. It's made up of 11 a4 pieces fixed to an a1 piece of mount board. Very pleased with the final combination, and thanks to everyone for taking the time to make their part.

Observation of a my hand

Today we drew our hands, quite tricky!
I started off drawing the outline with a pencil I then changed to charcoal to build the tones and shape of my hand, I also added a little white pastel for the highlights. I couldn't get the charcoal to stay black enough for the really dark creases in my hand so I used a conte pencil, which I really like!
I'm really quite pleased with the result, the only part which I feel I could of done better is the thumb area.
